April 2024 ~ TITLE Challenge ~ Winner
WheelofNames has selected Jessica Mikels as this month's TITLE challenge winner. Congratulations!
Welcome to April's TITLE Challenge. April showers... bring May flowers, lol. Not in northern Minnesota. It is more like April snow leads to rain in May and by June, green you shall see. I am a bit dramatic, but I did just have a snowstorm at the end of March so... Anyways, back to this month's challenge.
April showers... Rain and/or showers make me think of cleanliness, freshness, and starting anew. Although, I also think of water puddles, mud, and dirty dogs.
Your challenge is to create a title based on your thoughts of April - whether it be Spring, Showers, Clean, New, Fresh. You can create a title of your choice, just let me know how your thoughts of April is incorporated. Examples are:
Clean, Simple title in white - represents the rain cleaning the earth for new growth.
Using Rain, Rainy Day, Shower in your title.
Umbrellas and mud boots.
What about garden prep?
April Fool's Day - Any fun jokes played on others or you?
Do you have anything you do every April to scrapbook?
If you have Pinterest, there are more ideas. I loved these titles I saw:
Drenched in Fun
I'm (You're) no April Fool
Mudlicious
No rain, No flowers
Here are the rules:
1) Create a new project/layout/card including the above.
2) Post your creation here (Please post a photo from the gallery, link it if you want)
3) ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. You can, however, combine this with one other challenge that allows it. Be sure to list the other challenge in your post . You can also combine with any motivational and/or prompt challenges hosted.
4) Participants will be listed and then entered into THE WHEEL OF NAMES, scrambled, spun, and just like that, we have a winner!
5) Due by midnight on the last day of the month.

For me, April brings....BASEBALL SEASON! My kids did not play but I do like to watch the MLB on occasion and perfect timing for my nephews toddler baseball page! Combined with the My Mood challenge.

Here's mine - the photos were actually taken in March, but the title is definitely a word that comes to mind when I think of April. Combined with the 3 in a row challenge.

One from me. When I think of April, I think of how beautiful everything is in the Spring, after the grey days of January - March in Ohio.

I took inspiration from “April showers bring May flowers” and used this fun chipboard title piece and lots of springy embellishments in the cluster

I always associate April with my FIL's farm. Those baby calves are so cute! These pics were taken last Easter. The calf was only 2 days old!

Spring is perfect for taking walks by our house. I also curved it, kind of like a smile. Spring makes me happy! And spring adds some beautiful colors - I used a colorful title.
Re: April 2024 ~ TITLE Challenge
Our spring weather here in central NY is similar. Or, as we say, if you don't like it stick around a few minutes and it will change. It can be 70 and sunny one day and (literally) 30s and snowing the next. Right now we have daffodils that have somehow survived being snowed covered - more than once, as well as the current conditions of near freezing temps at night. AND we set a record high near 80 THE SAME WEEK. Go figure!
So to me, April is usually rain and/or what we (not so affectionately) call my favorite driving condition: "wintery mix". LOL. Therefore my card is called "Rainy days"

Re: April 2024 ~ TITLE Challenge
When I think of April I think of beautiful flowers budding on trees and mixed weather. My daughter and I marveled the other day on how bright the pink blossoms are in our neighborhood and enjoyed 81 degree weather. 4 days later we got 5 inches of snow and had to drive the half mile to school because it was too cold/wet to walk.
For my April inspired title, I used the word “beautiful” and mixed fonts to represent the mixed weather we have in Colorado!
